Biography
Reed focuses his practice in the areas of family law and estate planning, while specializing in the drafting of Prenuptial Agreements and Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs). He is licensed to practice in South Carolina and New York. In addition to his law degree, Reed has an undergraduate degree in economics, a graduate degree in accounting, and has passed the Uniform CPA exam.
In family law matters, Reed strives to achieve the best solution possible for his clients and their families. He limits his family law practice to uncontested divorces – cases where the parties have agreed to work together to reach a fair and equitable division of their marital property, and if children are involved, agreed to place the interests of their children foremost.
With his business background and knowledge of tax and trust law, Reed is comfortable helping clients with simple or complex property divisions, prenuptial agreements, and estate planning matters.
Reed graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina School of Law where he received CALI awards as the top-scoring student in Estate Planning; Estate & Gift Tax; and Race, Class & Education, and was a co-recipient of the Albert C. Todd, III Estate Planning Award.
